Awareness of diverse & global range of design cultures & languages
I consider myself to have a these attributes developing. Having had design experience in two highly diverse countries. I would ideally like to further this greatly over the forthcoming year.



Experience of design research, analysis & synthesis
My experience in this field is definitely developing and I am starting to realize the importance of research and the methods in to it. Working on real life problems with in the are has led to a greater understanding.



Visualising / prototyping skills & aptitudes in a range of media & formats
Prototyping and visualizing designs are definitely an ability that is far more advanced than my other skills. I have had experience with a multitude of materials and medias ranging from wood to presentation board through to videos.



Aptitude in compiling interim & summative design presentations
Basic understanding of presentations perhaps edging slightly toward developing this skill, I have produced a few product that I have had to present to small groups of people. I would like to see myself in a years time with much more varied experience.



Aptitude for designing through a digital platform

Already in a years time my skills have advanced a large amount. I would say that I have a competent grasp on all the major media platforms that I need as a designer. I am currently to try and learn In Design as from research I have seen that it is a useful package to be able to use.



Knowledge & experience of process, component & production technology
My existing knowledge and experience of this topic after college and one year of university study has provided me with a good base knowledge of process, component & production technology coupled with factory tours around an injection molders, car manufacturing plant and glass manufactures has provided me with what I consider a competent understanding.

Experience of design process & methodologies
Comprehensive understanding and experience with in the process, have applied it to an array of projects.



Experience of team leadership & management
As a team leader in a creative practice my experience is growing I have been a group leader in 4-5 projects while at college and University. Although I have a lot of real world experience, planning and leading numerous adventure activities’ in particular a two-month trip to India, Scout leader at a local group and a member of the UOTC.



Experience of costing projects & fee negotiation
In terms of costing the projects I have already completed I believe I am fairy competent. I recently produced a line of jewelry in collaboration with a NY fashion designer. Which I cost   the entire project and negotiated a reduced fee with the manufactures. In the future I would like to be able to confidently cost and negotiate much larger projects, rather than one of collections.



Experience of planning & managing project activity
Again I am competent at planning and managing projects and activity’s but I have lot of real world experience as mention earlier I have organized and planned multiple trips to various locations around the world from India, Morocco to western Europe.



Experience of managing client relationships & collaboration
The invaluable experience I gained of the summer while interning in America. I feel that I am now very competent at managing client relationships and collaborations. I now have experience with meeting with clients and one collaboration that I am extremely happy with the way it went.



Experience of a wide range of project types & scales of innovation
My skill in this field is developing if not competent I have worked on a range of projects witch I never though I would. With existing experience design in jewellery, electrical accessories and t-shirt print design.

Knowledge of design sectors & creative industries
With experience working in a multidisciplinary design studio and collaboration with a fashion designer I consider myself to have a good knowledge now of what different sectors of design such as graphic, product, interior and multi media now function and the roles that each play.



Experience of project procurement & client consultation
I consider myself to have a developing ability in this area I have undertaken two internships in NY after my first year of study at university along with a side project with an artist to design and create an installation.



Experience in planning continuing professional development
Proficient is the level of experience I have as I knew last year that I wanted to gain an internship and went on to achieve it I feel that I have a strong motivation to further myself academically and creatively.



Experience and understanding of legislation & regulations
Very basic if no experience in this matter. It is an area that I greatly wish to improve on.



Experience of design budgets & account management
Good amount of experience with design budgets for example while creating the artists installation I had a strict budget that had to be adhered to closely and again through out the process of the jewelry design.



Experience of design practice marketing & promotion
While working at a multi disciplinary design firm I gain a valuable insight in to marketing and promotion while also working on aspect of the design campaign.

Very limited knowledge on this subject although I see the importance of it and I want to greatly improve my understanding over the forth-coming year.
